Katherine A. Reynolds, Charlotte E. A. Aldrich, A. Bookbinder, Audrey Gallo, Matthias von Davier, and Ann Kennedy, Editors

The TIMSS 2023 Curriculum Questionnaires cover a variety of topics related to the structure of countries’ education systems and mathematics and science curricula. The data display below shows countries’ and benchmarking participants’ responses to the questionnaire.

The data can be filtered by Grade (4 or 8), questionnaire module (General, Mathematics, or Science), and individual topics within questionnaire modules by using the drop-down menus. The search boxes allows selection of data from particular countries or benchmarking participants of interest. Note that countries only complete a curriculum questionnaire for the grade(s) in which they participate in TIMSS.

Selected data can be downloaded Excel format.

Questionnaire responses can be viewed in their entirety by clicking on individual cells in the data display. Hovering over questionnaire item variable names will display the questionnaire item text. Codebooks with full details about the curriculum questionnaires are available for download.
